This is an attractive hand-thrown bowl from the Pog Crafts Pottery, which was founded in 1985 in Bedford, Bedfordshire.
The bowl has a short, rounded body and a flattened rim. This piece has been made from two shades of green clay, which, when mixed, form a random streaked and marbled pattern on the potter’s wheel.
The base is flat and incised with what appears to be a combined G and P. This is the monogram of Paul McGrath and Graham Fielder of the Pog Crafts Pottery, which was based in the Cardington workshops in Harrowden, Bedford, from around 1985.
It has a height of approximately 6.4cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 10.6cm and across the base of about 8.4cm.
It has an unwrapped weight of 250g.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
