This is a pair of high-quality cut lead crystal tot glasses from the ‘Georgian’ suite produced by Webb Corbett.
Each glass is cylindrical in shape, tapering in towards the thickened, star-cut base. It is cut with a band of seven large crosses; a three-pointed fan cut surmounts each cross. The diamond-shaped panels formed between adjacent crosses contain a smaller cross-cut.
Above the base is a ring of eight concave oval cuts. Between two oval cuts it is marked with the words ‘WEBB CORBETT ENGLAND’ arranged in a circle. Variations of this mark were used between 1947 and 1965.
Each glass has a height of approximately 7.1cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 5.6cm and across the base of about 4.3cm.
Each glass has a liquid capacity (to the brim) of 90ml.
They have an unwrapped weight of 250g.
They are in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
