This is a pair of good-quality lead-free glass champagne flutes from the ‘Pure’ range produced by Schott Zwiesel of Germany.
The glass has an elongated bowl, which narrows as it approaches the rim. The base of the bowl is angular and is etched on the interior with six tiny dots just off-centre, which act as an effervescence point to produce extra fizz in the glass and prevent it from tasting flat.
The bowl merges with the long, straight stem, which in turn blends with the plain, flat foot. The latter is marked on the edge with the words ‘SCHOTT ZWIESEL’.
I believe this range is produced with ‘Tritan Crystal‘, which is a lead-free crystal alternative created by Schott Zwiesel.
Each glass has a height of approximately 25.3cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 4.4cm and across the foot of about 7.2cm.
Each glass has a liquid capacity (to the brim) of 210ml.
They have an unwrapped weight of 280g.
They are in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
