This is a pair of high-quality cut lead crystal 9oz whisky tumblers or ‘rummers’ from the ‘Georgian’ suite produced by Royal Doulton Crystal.
Each tumbler is cylindrical in shape and cut with a band of eight large crosses. Each cross is surmounted by a three-pointed fan cut, and the diamond-shaped panels formed between adjacent crosses contain a smaller cross-cut.
Above the base is a ring of eight concave oval cuts. The thickened base is star cut and marked at the edge with a crown logo and the words ‘ROYAL DOULTON ENGLAND’.
Each glass has a height of approximately 8.4cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 7.9cm and across the base of about 7.3cm.
Each glass has a liquid capacity (to the brim) of 270ml.
They have an unwrapped weight of 500g.
They are in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
