This is a pair of high-quality small lead crystal pan champagne glasses dating to the latter part of the 19th century.
The small coupe-shaped bowl is engraved below the rim with a fruiting vine motif in matte intaglio. There is a discoid attachment at the junction of the bowl and the hourglass-shaped stem. The latter is cut with six facets and contains an enclosed air bubble.
The foot is broad and discoid, with a central polished pontil on the underside.
Each glass has a height of approximately 11.7cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 7.6cm and across the foot of about 7.0cm.
Each glass has a liquid capacity (to the brim) of 140ml.
They have an unwrapped weight of 270g.
They are in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks, although there is the odd enclosed bubble within the glass which are a result of the manufacturing process.
