Pair of Edinburgh Crystal ‘Kingston’ Design Large Wine Glasses

This is a pair of high-quality lead crystal large wine glasses from the ‘Kingston’ range produced by Edinburgh Crystal.

The rounded bowl is decorated in its lower half with a band of six large crosses, the upper and lower limbs of which come into close approximation. Each cross is surmounted by a five-limbed fan cut. Within the diamond-shaped panels formed between adjacent crosses is a lattice formed from two sets of three parallel lines.

The base of the bowl merges with the long, straight stem, which is moulded with six vertical ‘facets’, thus making it hexagonal in section. The foot is plain and unmarked.

Each glass has a height of approximately 17.4cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 7.3cm and across the foot of about 6.9cm.

Each glass has a liquid capacity (to the brim) of 235ml.

They have an unwrapped weight of 360g.

They are in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
