This is a charming example of a small glass bud vase with a classical motif dating to the end of the 19th century.
The vase is made for a single stem, with a narrow cylindrical body that tapers in towards the base. Just below the rim, it is matte intaglio cut with a stylised ‘Greek Key’ motif.
The body sits on a flattened cushion knop, with tapers into a waisted section above the broad, flattened foot. The latter has been polished flat and is unmarked.
It has a height of approximately 13.0cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 2.0cm and across the foot of about 5.8cm.
It has an unwrapped weight of 60g.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
