This is a classic example of a high-quality lead crystal tankard from the ‘Teardrop’ range produced by Krosno of Poland.
The tankard is straight-sided but steps in towards the thickened base, which has a central conical dimple leading into a bubble. This gives the appearance of a bubble rising from the base. The handle is strap-shaped with a central vertical groove.
It is unmarked, but retains the original sticker, which reads ‘PRODUIT DE POLOGNE KROSNO MADE IN POLAND’.
It has a height of approximately 13.0cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 8.4cm and across the base of about 7.1cm.
It has a liquid capacity (to the brim) of 450ml.
It has an unwrapped weight of 500g.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
