This is a high-quality lead crystal large red wine glass from the ‘Rachael’ suite produced by Dartington Crystal.
The glass has a capacious bowl that tapers into a thickened base and elongated stem. This merges with the plain, discoid foot. The latter is plain and marked in the centre with the Dartington ‘D’ logo.
This glass is still in production today and is available on the Dartington Crystal website at £32.50 per glass.
It has a height of approximately 23.4cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 8.0cm and across the foot of about 7.2cm.
The glass has a liquid capacity (to the brim) of 360ml.
It has an unwrapped weight of 200g.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
