This is a high-quality lead crystal brandy glass from the ‘Inga’ suite, designed by Frank Thrower for Dartington Crystal.
The brandy glass has a classic balloon-shaped bowl, which tapers in and merges with the short, solid stem. There is a globular collar at the junction of the stem and the plain, flat foot. The latter is plain and unmarked.
PLEASE NOTE: The brandy glasses were made in three sizes, and I believe this is the smallest. It is worth checking the measurements against your own stemware if you are looking to match.
It has a height of approximately 11.6cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 7.0cm and across the foot of about 6.5cm.
It has a liquid capacity (to the brim) of 285ml.
It has an unwrapped weight of 140g.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks, although there are some enclosed bubbles and pieces of frit in the bowl.
