Dartington Crystal ‘Argenta Collection’ Silver Rimmed Short Candlestick AG367/P

This is a high-quality lead crystal short candlestick from the ‘Argenta Collection’ produced by Dartington Crystal in the mid-1990s.

The candlestick has a flared rim, tapering in to form the elongated cylindrical body. This is thickened towards the base, where it merges with the broad, discoid foot. The latter is sandblasted with the Dartington ‘D’ logo in the centre.

According to the 1994 Dartington Crystal catalogue, ‘The Argenta Collection features 100% silver detailing in a broad band, electro-plated directly onto the rim of each piece’. 

It has a height of approximately 11.0cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 6.5cm and across the foot of about 6.7cm.

It has an unwrapped weight of 160g.

It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks. I have not polished the silver rim as it has an even patina.
