This is a simple but elegant high-quality cut lead crystal spirit decanter by Atlantis Crystal of Portugal.
The thick, galleried rim tapers in to merge with the shoulder. This is moulded with a tapering faceted effect. The body is square in section and is undecorated. The thickened base is star-cut and unmarked. The stopper is of solid cut ball form.
It bears the original black and gold label, which reads ‘FULL LEAD CRYSTAL 30% PbO HAND CUT MADE IN PORTUGAL’.
It has a height (excluding the stopper) of approximately 19.3cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 5.8cm and a width across the base of about 9.6cm. It has a maximum height (including the stopper) of about 26.0cm.
It has a liquid capacity (just below the shoulder) of 500ml.
It has an unwrapped weight of 1910g.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
