This is a pair of good quality cut lead crystal liqueur or cordial glasses, probably Czechoslovakian in origin and dating to the mid 20th century.
The bell shaped bowl is rounded with an everted rim. It is decorated with two arched shaped cuts that meet at their lower margins with four leaf shaped wedge cuts. Each arch cut is overcut with two curves that meet above the junction of the arches. The junction is overcut with three leaf-shaped wedge cuts and a further three-armed fan cut. The base of the bowl is cut with six petals that extend down on to the upper part of the stem as facets. The stem is of baluster form and is facet cut; the facets on the stem are staggered with respect to those above. The foot is plain and unmarked.
Each glass has a height of approximately 9.8cm, with a diameter at the rim of about 4.5cm and across the foot of about the same.
They are in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
