This is a nice example of a small handmade posy vase in an attractive abstract glaze, signed ‘PB’ but maker unattributed.
The body is gourd-shaped, flaring upwards to a trumpet-shaped rim. The underlying ceramic body is grey, and this has been splashed with shades of blue, brown, and white to give a free-form texture and pattern.
The base of the vase is incised with the monogram ‘PB’. I have been unable to attribute this maker as yet.
It has a height of approximately 8.9cm, with a diameter across the rim of 4.6cm and across the base of 4.8cm.
It has an unwrapped weight of 90g.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
