This is a classic example of a small ceramic jug produced by Jasba Keramik and dating to the mid-20th century.
The jug has a very mid-century shape, with a conical body, tapering in and flaring out again at the angular conical spout. The handle is also of angular form.
The piece is decorated in a chocolate brown glaze with patches of mottling. This is intersected by vertical stripes in pastel shades and vibrant orange. The rim and the handle are gilded.
The base is marked with the word ‘GERMANY’ and the number ‘206/20’ moulded in relief.
It has a maximum height of approximately 20.0cm and a diameter across the base of about 8.0cm.
It has an unwrapped weight of 390g.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
