This is a set of three high-quality lead crystal wine glasses, probably British in origin and dating to around 1890 to 1900.
The rounded bowl is matte cut below the rim with a continuous circumferential line. A band of fine vertical needle cuts surmounts this. The lower part of the bowl is decorated with four rows of nine star cuts, each row being staggered with respect to the former. The stem and foot are plain; the latter is polished flat.
Each glass has a height of approximately 12.1cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 6.7cm and across the foot of about 6.0cm. There are some minor discrepancies in the dimensions due to the handmade nature of the glasses.
Each glass has a liquid capacity (to the brim) of 160ml.
They have an unwrapped weight of 240g.
They are in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
