This is a good quality cut and engraved lead crystal wine glass from the ‘Fruiting Vine’ suite produced by John Walsh Walsh, dating to the late 19th or early 20th centuries.
The ogee-shaped bowl is engraved below the rim with a grape and vine leaf motif. This surmounts three rows of honeycomb-like facets; the upper and lower rows have curved margins. There is a discoid collar at the junction of the bowl and the stem. The latter widens out slightly at the attachment with the plain flat foot. The latter has a central polished pontil and is unmarked.
It has a height of approximately 12.4cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 8.9cm and across the foot of about 6.8cm.
It has a liquid capacity (to the brim) of 225ml.
It has an unwrapped weight of 210g.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
