This is a classic example of a small ceramic flower vase by Scheurich Keramik, probably dating to the 1970s.
The vase has an elongated tapering neck, which widens out as it approaches the ‘shoulder’. There are two moulded rings at this junction before the body tapers back into the base.
The base is slightly concave and moulded in relief with ‘W.GERMANY’ and the number ‘209 – 18’.
The body is glazed with a speckled tan-brown colour, over which is a striated raised white pattern on the neck and shoulder. This is dripped with the brown glaze to give a mottled appearance.
It has a height of approximately 19.1cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 5.8cm and across the base of about 7.2cm.
It has an unwrapped weight of 390g.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
