This is a good quality moulded lead crystal brandy glass, probably continental in origin and possibly attributable to Bohemia Crystal or Royal Crystal Rock.
The capacious balloon-shaped bowl is cut in its lower half with a ring of eight large crosses, the upper and lower arms of which come into close approximation. In the diamond-shaped panel thus formed is a further small cross-cut. In the upper arms of each large cross is a three-pointed fan.
The bowl merges imperceptibly with the short tapering stem. The stem widens out to merge with the plain, flat foot. It is unmarked.
It has a height of approximately 11.6cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 6.0cm and across the foot of about 7.0cm.
The glass has a liquid capacity (to the brim) of about 285ml.
It has an unwrapped weight of 310g.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
