This is a high-quality cut lead rose bowl from Western Germany and probably dates to the 1980s.
The bowl is spherical and cut around the rim with a band of eighteen semi-circular notches. The body is cut with twelve large panels, each separated by deep vertical wedge cuts. The base is star-cut and unmarked.
The bowl bears the original sticker, which reads ‘GENUINE LEAD CRYSTAL OVER 24% PbO HAND CUT MADE IN WEST GERMANY’.
It has a height of approximately 13.3cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 9.5cm and across the base of about 8.2cm.
It has an unwrapped weight of 1420g.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
