This is a classic Grecian-style ceramic flower urn or vase produced by Wedgwood.
The vase has an everted rim and an elongated tapering body. This is moulded with a raised ridged pattern on the exterior. It stands on a round plinth-like base.
The interior and exterior are glazed in white.
The underside of this piece has a mauve-coloured circular mark with the words ‘WEDGWOOD OF ETRURIA & BARLASTON MADE IN ENGLAND’ as well as the letter ‘C’ and the number ‘7’. It is also impressed with the word ‘WEDGWOOD’ and the code ‘2 P 66’.
It has a height of approximately 19.9cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 13.0cm and across the foot of about 10.2cm.
It has an unwrapped weight of 540g.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks, although there are a couple of underglaze marks which are from the manufacturing process (see picture).
