This is a charming example of a ceramic rolling pin in the ‘Fritillaria’ design from the famous Botanic Garden range produced by Portmeirion Pottery.
The rolling pin is hollow, with a plastic bung at each end of the handle. On one side, it is transfer-printed with a large yellow floral motif and the words ‘FRITILLARIA’ and ‘4 THE YELLOW CROWN IMPERIAL’. On the reverse are a pair of butterflies and a pair of moths. The handles are decorated with a repeating green leaf pattern.

It has a maximum length of 36.0cm and a diameter of about 7.0cm.
It has an unwrapped weight of 670g.
It is in good condition, with no chips or cracks, although the glaze is crazed all over. This wear is reflected in the price.
