Pair of Edinburgh Crystal ‘Broughton’ Design Wine Glasses (7 ⅛”) in Original Box

This is a pair of high-quality cut lead crystal wine glasses from the ‘Broughton’ suite by Edinburgh Crystal.

The rounded bowl tapers in and merges imperceptibly with the elongated stem. The bowl is decorated with two rows of four V cuts. The trough of each V-cut in the upper row is surmounted by a vertical wedge cut. Below this the limbs of the V-cut bisect one another to create a small cross-cut. The lower row of V cuts bisects at their upper limb cross-over, creating a further cross-cut.

The stem and foot are plain. The latter is marked at the edge with the words ‘EDINBURGH CRYSTAL’. In addition, both glasses bear their original diamond-shaped purple and silver label, which reads ‘EDINBURGH CRYSTAL’.

The glasses come in their original satin-lined display box, which has minor wear around the edges.

Each glass has a height of approximately 18.0cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 6.7cm and across the foot of about 6.8cm.

Each glass has a liquid capacity (to the brim) of 185ml.

They have an unwrapped weight of 480g.

They are in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
