This is a high-quality lead crystal claret glass from the ‘Compleat Imbiber’ suite by Dartington Glass.
The capacious bowl tapers in and merges imperceptibly with the solid stem. This flares out to form the rounded foot; the latter is plain and slightly domed in the centre. It is unmarked.
The glass bears the remains of the original gold sticker, which is indicative of ‘first’ quality.
It has a height of approximately 12.2cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 7.9cm and across the foot of about 7.7cm.
It has a liquid capacity (to the brim) of 350ml.
It has an unwrapped weight of 270g.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
