This is a good quality moulded lead crystal spirit decanter by the Bohemia Glassworks of Poděbrady in Czechoslovakia.
The decanter is square in section and each side is moulded to resemble three panels; an upper with a large cross design, a central portion with a pattern of relief diamonds, and a lower panel of interlocking crosses. The base has a star ‘cut’ design.
The stopper is of ball form with a pointed apex and has a moulded design of recessed pyramids, giving the appearance of six-pointed stars in relief. At the attachment of the peg, the neck of the stopper is moulded to give the impression of multiple facets.
The piece bears the original red and gold paper label, which reads ‘BOHEMIA CZECHOSLOVAKIA LEAD CRYSTAL OVER 24% PbO’.
It has a maximum height (including the stopper) of approximately 27.4cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 6.1cm and a width across the base of 8.9cm.
It has a liquid capacity (to the shoulder) of 500ml.
It has an unwrapped weight of 2000g.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
