This is a highly collectible character jug depicting a ‘North American Indian’, designed by Max Henk in 1966 for Royal Doulton.
The Indian is wearing a headdress with red, black, and white feathers and a yellow and white band. His robes are brown and he has a light brown totem pole handle.
The base is marked with the Royal Doulton lion and crown logo, and the words ‘MADE IN ENGLAND ROYAL DOULTON ENGLAND NORTH AMERICAN INDIAN D. 6611 COPR. 1966 DOULTON & CO. LIMITED’. In addition, it is marked with several registered numbers.
It has a maximum height of approximately 19.1cm.
It has an unwrapped weight of 640g.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
