This is a pair of good quality candlesticks from the ‘Lotus’ range by Caithness Glass.
The upper portion has a flared galleried rim, stepping into a lower bulbous portion. This is decorated with five alternating stripes; three in black and two in white. This colourway is known as ‘Midnight’. The bowl then merges imperceptibly with the plain, straight stem.
There is a globular attachment at the junction of the stem and the plain, flat foot. The latter is marked on the underside with the word ‘CAITHNESS’.
Each foot bears the original plastic sticker, which reads ‘CAITHNESS CRYSTAL HANDMADE ENGLISH LEAD CRYSTAL’.
Each piece has a height of approximately 15.7cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 8.4cm and across the foot of about 6.6cm. This is the medium size from a range of three.
They have an unwrapped weight of 370g.
They are in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
