This is a rustic-style handmade stoneware citrus juicer, signed ‘OSC’ but maker unattributed.
The juicer has a deep, galleried dish at the base, which is drawn out on one side to form a pouring spout. The centre is domed and divided into quarters; each quarter is scored with parallel lines.
The sides and centre have been glazed in a dark tan brown, over which has been applied a mottled blue and white glaze, with a ring of white polka dots encircling the central juicer.
The underside is unglazed and impressed to one side with the letters ‘OSC’. I have been unable to attribute this maker as yet.
It has a diameter across the rim of about 13.5cm.
It has an unwrapped weight of 260g.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks, although there is some roughness to the glaze in areas around the rim.
