This is a handsome and well-proportioned example of a deceptive wine glass dating to between 1810 and 1820.
The glass is made from thick lead crystal and has a conical bowl cut with seven petals. There is a broad, bladed collar at the junction with the bowl; this then tapers in and meets a large central globular knop. Below this is a short cylindrical portion and a further broad collar at the junction with the foot. The latter is broad and discoid with a central polished pontil.
It has a height of approximately 10.9cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 6.4cm and across the foot of about 6.6cm.
It has a liquid capacity (to the brim) of 65ml.
It has an unwrapped weight of 160g.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks, although there is the odd wear and tear scratch to the bowl and the underside of the foot commensurate with age and use.
