This is a set of four high-quality lead crystal dessert bowls, probably British in origin and dating to the mid-20th century.
The deep, rounded bowl is cut with a lattice formed from three rows of interlocking crosses. The diamond-shaped panels formed between adjacent crosses on the uppermost row each contain a further small cross cut.
The bowl sits on a short stem and a thickened, star-cut foot. The latter has an upturned rim and is unmarked.
Each bowl has a height of approximately 8.3cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 10.1cm and across the foot of about 9.5cm. There are some minor discrepancies in the dimensions due to the handmade nature of the glass.
They have an unwrapped weight of 1310g.
They are in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks, although there is the odd wear and tear scratch commensurate with age and use.
