This is a pair of high-quality cut lead crystal sherry glasses in the Victorian style but dating to the 20th century.
The ogee-shaped bowl has a pan top that is engraved with a complex fruiting vine motif. Below this, the bowl tapers in and is cut with a multifaceted ‘honeycomb’ effect, where the facets on each row are staggered with respect to the next. There is a collar at the base of the bowl that joins it to the straight stem. The latter has a central discoid knop. The foot is plain and slightly domed.
Each glass has a height of approximately 9.9cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 4.4cm and across the foot of about the same.
Each glass has a liquid capacity (to the brim) of 40ml.
They have an unwrapped weight of around 90g.
They are in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
