This is a pair of high-quality cut lead crystal liqueur or cordial glasses probably dating to around 1860.
The bucket-shaped bowl is cut with ten elongated oval-shaped facets. The small gap between adjacent facets is cut with fine horizontal lines.
The base of the bowl is cut with six petals, which continue down onto the stem as facets. Each row of hexagonal facets is staggered with respect to the next, giving a ‘honeycomb’ appearance.
The broad foot is plain, slightly domed in the centre with a broad, polished pontil. They are unmarked.
Each glass has a height of approximately 9.3cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 4.5cm and across one foot of 5.0cm and the other 4.6cm.
Each glass has a liquid capacity (to the brim) of 32ml.
They have an unwrapped weight of 90g.
They are in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks, although there is the odd enclosed and burst bubble within the glass.
