Pair of Royal Crystal Rock ‘Degustazione’ Range Grand Cru Wine Goblets in Original Box

This is a pair of high-quality lead crystal ‘Grand Cru’ wine goblets from the ‘Degustazione’ range produced by Royal Crystal Rock.

The capacious bowl is rounded with a slightly everted rim. The bowl merges imperceptibly with the tapering stem. The latter widens out and merges with the plain, flat foot. They are unmarked.

Each glass bears the original gold and black sticker which reads ‘OVER OLTRE 24% PbO LEAD CRYSTAL CRISTALLO AL PIOMBO MADE IN ITALY’.

The glasses come in their original presentation box, which includes a central compartment for a bottle of wine when given as a gift.

The Royal Crystal Rock catalogue for the Degustazione range gives the following details about the Grand Cru glasses: ‘Few wines can call themselves ‘Grand Cru’: only the greatest vintages of Burgundy, Langhe and Montalcino. For such wines, this glass has been created, perfect for appreciating the aroma and enjoying the full flavour.’

Each glass has a height of approximately 22.9cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 8.7cm and across the foot of about 8.3cm.

They are in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks, although the box is worn at the edges.
