This is a high-quality lead crystal white wine glass from the ‘Bulldog’ suite, designed by Frank Thrower in 1970 for Dartington Glass.
The glass has a slightly everted rim, with a deep, cylindrical bowl. This tapers in at the base to merge with the short, solid, cylindrical stem. The foot is thick and slightly domed. It is unmarked.
It has a height of approximately 9.5cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 7.1cm and across the foot of about 6.8cm.
It has a liquid capacity (to the brim) of 170ml.
It has an unwrapped weight of 230g.
It is in good condition, with no chips or cracks, although there is some visible wear to the underside of the edge of the foot, commensurate with age and use.
