This is a good-quality moulded lead crystal candlestick produced by Galway Crystal of Ireland.
The flattened rim is hexagonal with faceted edges. It steps in slightly to form the faceted body where the candle is held. There is a short, waisted portion surmounting a central faceted knop. Each facet is of flattened hexagonal form. Below this, the stem flares out to merge with the broad, hexagonal foot. The latter is decorated on the underside with a band of notches around the edge.
It is unmarked but bears the original green sticker, which reads ‘GALWAY IRISH CRYSTAL’.
It has a height of approximately 13.0cm, with a width across the rim of about 5.0cm and across the base of about 8.5cm.
It has an unwrapped weight of 370g.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
