This is a pair of high-quality cut lead crystal port glasses produced by Tudor Crystal and probably dating to the mid-20th century.
The capacious rounded bowl is cut below the rim with a lattice formed from three rows of interlocking crosses. Below this, there is a band of four large cross cuts that form four diamond-shaped panels. Within each panel are four smaller cross cuts; the two central crosses are overcut with a horizontal mitre cut and through their centres with a small vertical cut.
There is a broad, discoid collar at the junction of the bowl and the short stem, which has a low ball knop.
The foot is star cut and marked at the edge with the words ‘MADE IN TUDOR ENGLAND’. This mark was in use from the 1930s.
Each glass has a height of approximately 9.8cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 6.2cm and across the foot of about 5.6cm.
Each glass has a liquid capacity to the brim of 100ml.
They have an unwrapped weight of 210g.
They are in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
