This is a high-quality cut lead crystal hock wine glass from the ‘Rolleston’ suite produced by Webb Corbett Crystal.
The capacious bowl is cut with a lattice formed from three rows of interlocking crosses. The centre of each cross in the uppermost row is surmounted by a vertical wedge cut.
There is a broad discoid collar at the junction of the bowl and stem. The latter is elongated with a central ball knop.
The foot is plain and marked in the centre with the words ‘WEBB CORBETT ENGLAND’ arranged in a ring. This mark was in use from 1947 until 1965.
It has a height of approximately 16.7cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 6.2cm and across the foot of about 6.5cm.
It has a liquid capacity (to the brim) of 210ml.
It has an unwrapped weight of 260g.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
