This is a charming set of twelve stainless steel cocktail forks, maker unknown but probably dating to the 1970s.
The forks each have a pair of stainless steel tines, which narrow to merge with the upper portion of the handle. The remainder of the handle is covered in plastic. There are six pairs of colours: red, off-white, pink, blue, green, and brown. The reverse of each fork is marked with the words ‘STAINLESS FOREIGN’.
The forks come in their original cardboard box, which reads ‘STAINLESS STEEL COCKTAIL FORKS’ on the front. The reverse is printed in the bottom corner with the word ‘FOREIGN’. In addition, the interior of the box has an orange-coloured insert which holds the forks in place. This is printed with the words ‘SPECIAL QUALITY COCKTAIL FORKS’.
Each fork has a length of about 10.4cm. The box measures 12.9cm by 11.5cm.
They have an unwrapped weight (including their box) of 70g.
They are in excellent condition, having hardly (if at all) been used. The box has a faded old label mark on the front and another mark on the back of the interior card, which appears to be from another old label.
