This is a good quality, lead crystal dram or small wine glass, maker unknown but dating to about 1880.
The elongated bowl is engraved below the rim with a ring of matte ovals surmounting a fine circumferential line. Below this is a band consisting of matte ovals alternating with pairs of fine vertical lines. This is bordered above and below with a fine circumferential line. Below the lowermost line is a fine zig-zag motif.
There is a small discoid collar at the junction of the bowl and the short, waisted stem. The foot is plain with a central polished pontil.
It has a height of approximately 10.9cm, with a diameter at the rim of about 5.3cm and across the foot of about 5.4cm.
It has a liquid capacity (to the brim) of 110ml.
It has an unwrapped weight of 120g.
It is in good condition for its age, with no chips or cracks. There are some scratches to the underside of the foot which are visible on close inspection. This wear is reflected in the price.
