This is a highly attractive and functional piece of vintage kitchenalia made in England and dating to the mid-20th century.
The butter pat maker is made from chrome. The piece is spring-loaded, allowing the top to be pushed down to force out the butter pat once cut. The cutter section at the base has an undulating rim formed from eight lobes.
The butter pat maker comes in the original cardboard box, which is deep burgundy red with white polka dots on the exterior. There is a black card insert inside for the gadget to sit in. It is printed in white with the words ‘DAIRY MAID’ BUTTER PAT MAKER PRESS RELEASE SPRING ACTION LL PRODUCT MADE IN ENGLAND REGD. DESIGN’. The interior of the lid bears the instructions for use.
The butter pat maker has a maximum length of 11.2cm. The cutter section has a maximum width of 2.6cm and a depth on the interior of 0.9cm.
