This is a high quality lead crystal finger bowl dating to the first quarter of the 20th century and attributable to Thomas Webb.
The bowl has a wide everted rim and a star cut base. It is cut approximately two-thirds of the way down the bowl with a circumferential ring. This is overcut with a series of long and short wedge cuts that alternate with one another. In the space formed between each wedge cut, above and below the circumferential line, is a small cross cut.
The base is marked at the edge with the word ‘WEBB’. This mark was in use between 1906 and 1935.
It has a height of approximately 5.5cm and across the rim of about 12.5cm.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks, although there is the odd wear and tear scratch to the base.
