Small Art Pottery Stoneware Bowl with Cobalt and Copper Glaze
For a full product description, see below.
This is a highly attractive example of an art pottery bowl, maker unknown.
The bowl is of broad conical form and sits on a short cylindrical base. The inside of the bowl is glazed with random streaks of cobalt blue, brown, copper, and grey. There are some patches that remain unglazed, revealing the underlying ceramic body to be a textured brown stoneware. The underside of the bowl and base are also unglazed. The underside of the base is unmarked but has a conical point where the bowl was formed.
It has a height of approximately 3.9cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 11.6cm and across the base of about 4.4cm.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
