This is a high quality cut lead crystal brandy glass, probably British in origin and possibly attributable to Royal Albert.
The balloon shaped bowl is cut around the centre with a ring of eight large criss-crosses, the upper and lower limbs of which come in to close approximation. In the upper arms of each cross is a five-pointed fan. In the diamond-shaped panels formed between adjacent crosses there is a fine lattice of crosses. There is a broad discoid attachment at the junction of the bowl and the baluster shaped stem. The latter is cut with six facets, rendering it hexagonal in section. The foot is star cut and unmarked.
It has a height of approximately 12.2cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 5.8cm and across the foot of about 6.2cm.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
