This is a classic example of a glass posy vase produced by Nazeing Glass of Broxbourne, Hertfordshire, during the 1930s.
The vase is of ‘top hat’ form, with a broad, flattened rim that slopes downwards. The body is of short, tapering form, widening out towards the base. The latter has a slightly raised foot rim and is domed in the centre, with a polished pontil with a matte finish.
The piece has been made in pale blue flecked with white, with a cloudy, bubbled effect, and is encased in clear glass.
The vase has a maximum height of approximately 5.2cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 21.9cm and across the base of about 6.5cm.
It has an unwrapped weight of 440g.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
