This is an interesting piece of social history.
The piece is made in white ceramic with a small handle at 90 degrees to the integral spout. It is transfer printed around the sides, top and spout with a stylised rose design. The top is slightly domed with a crudely fashioned opening opposite the spout that is approximately semi-circular. The edge of the rim, spout, base of the spout and handle are all gilded.
The base is plain and unmarked.
It has a height to the top of the spout of approximately 8.5cm.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks, although the glaze is crazed in some places.
