Whitefriars Large Moulded Sapphire Blue Bowl No. 7192
For a full product description, see below.
This is a high quality lead glass moulded fruit bowl by Whitefriars.
The shallow bowl widens out to a horizontal rim. There is a moulded pattern consisting of six ridges, which form the edges of panels of horizontal ribbing. These become progressively curved as they approach the centre of the bowl, giving a ‘spider web’ appearance. The base has a central polished out pontil.
This design can be found on page 5 of the 1940 catalogue. It has the pattern number 7192.
It has a height of approximately 6.5cm, with a diameter at the rim of about 26.0cm and at the base of about 13.0cm.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
