Whitefriars Glass Sundae Dish M94 in Twilight
This is a classic piece of Whitefriars tableware.
This is a classic piece of Whitefriars tableware.
The rounded bowl has subtle vertical ribbing and curves in to blend imperceptibly with the short solid tapering stem. The saucer-like foot curves upwards at its rim. The base of the bowl has a central polished out pontil.
This bowl has the pattern number M94 and can be found on page 38 of the 1964 Whitefriars catalogue.
It has a height of approximately 9.0cm, with a diameter at the rim of about 10.6cm and across the foot of about 11.5cm.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks. However, there is a large tool mark at the base of the stem, which is a manufacturing artefact.
