Wedgwood Glass Cased Squat Vase with Mottled Design by Ronald Stennett-Willson c.1970
For a full product description, see below.
This is a highly attractive and unusual example of an art glass vase designed by Ronald Stennett-Willson for Wedgwood Glass.
The short vase is made in three layers – an inner white glass layer, a central mottled brown and black layer, and a thick outer layer of flint glass. The vase is approximately ovoid in form, tapering in towards the flint glass base. The latter has a broad ground pontil mark and is unmarked.
The vase has a height of approximately 12.6cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 6.4cm and across the base of about 5.5cm.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks, although there are a few wear and tear scratches to the body and underside of the base commensurate with use.
