Wedgwood Glass ‘Arthur’ Design Candlestick W29 in Flint
This is a nice example of a high quality candlestick from the ‘Arthur’ range by Wedgwood Glass.
This is a nice example of a high quality candlestick from the ‘Arthur’ range by Wedgwood Glass.
The candlestick has a shallow pan shaped upper portion with an everted rim. The elongated cylindrical stem is hollow and joins the bowl to the plain, flat foot. The latter bears the original sticker which reads ‘WEDGWOOD LEAD CRYSTAL ENGLAND’.
It has a height of approximately 12.7cm, with a diameter at the rim of about 7.3cm and across the foot of about 7.4cm. There were three sizes available – this is the smallest.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
