Vintage Winton 18/8 Stainless Steel Sherry Glass c.1960s
For a full product description, see below.
This is a highly attractive retro sherry glass by Winton and probably dating to the 1960s.
The bowl is made from plain brushed stainless steel. The bowl is approximately cylindrical, tapering in at the base. There is a short bulbous section at the junction of the bowl and the plain, straight stem. There is a further bulbous portion at the junction with the plain foot. The latter is slightly domed and impressed on the underside with the words ‘STAINLESS STEEL 18/8 WINTON MADE IN ENGLAND’ contained within a parallelogram.
It has a height of approximately 10.9cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 5.0cm and across the foot of about the same.
It is in good condition, with no chips or cracks, although there are a few wear and tear scratches to the exterior of the bowl, commensurate with use. These are only superficial and do not detract from the flute in any way.
